- describe the recognition and referral of patients presenting with pulmonary embolism (PE) in primary care
- discuss guidance relevant to the acute phase of treatment and the therapeutic regimens prescribed in secondary care in this period
- clarify which patients should receive long-term treatment and what this consists of, with reference to relevant guidance and medication choice.
