The second phase of the General Practice data hub has been implemented by NHS Digital.

Designed to provide a centralised online source of statistics and information about individual GP practices for the public and healthcare professionals, the GP data hub includes information on topics ranging from the amount of staff at a practice to performance measurements on coping with public health concerns.

Following the successful rollout of the hub in April 2017, the completed second phase adds new information and functionality, including:

  • online services offered to patients (e.g. repeat prescription ordering)
  • practice-level data on specific conditions (e.g. dementia)
  • the number of patients who have opted out of data sharing
  • Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP) maps to show certain types of data (e.g. GP list size) at an STP area level.

NHS Digital has also issued a survey asking for feedback on the GP data hub. The survey closes on Monday 31 July 2017.
