The British Thoracic Society & Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network
In the UK, 1.1 million children are currently receiving treatment for asthma. One in 11 children have asthma, making it the most common long-term medical condition. The 2016 version of the BTS/SIGN asthma guidance includes new recommendations on the diagnosis of asthma, appropriate treatment in children, and the management of acute asthma in children.
This updated Guidelines summary covers diagnosis, appropriate management, and supported self-management of asthma in children.
